teamboat!

a brief history

teamboat was founded in 2002. the exact date is not known, but the formation of teamboat took place during a warmup session before rugby training began. it all began when roland played a game of random team on battle.net before training. relating the experience of the game to daniel, roland talked about him having a horrible partner who referred to the unit "steam tanks" as "steamboats". daniel then had a brainwave, and the two of them decided to create accounts called teamboat1 and teamboat2: the name thought up due to daniel's fascination with food and warcraft.

guanghao joined shortly after the formation of teamboat, due to the need for intelligence to balance out the gluttony in daniel and good looks in roland. together, the trio have accomplished feats such as making seoul garden move out of j8. armed with their passion for food and good recommendations from guanghao, teamboat strives to test (and at the same time, destroy) all buffets in singapore.

currently, the strength of teamboat stands at 3: daniel, guanghao and roland. there is, at the moment, only 1 associate member: clement.

the great depression..

seems like everyone's getting depressed lately. cheer up peopleeeee! =) i'm sure things will get better soon =) anyway. today was boring, perhaps because everyone's feeling down. =(. i woke up soooo happy because it's a long weekend after today, but no one shared my sentiments!! hais hais!! haha. so in the end i was feeling abit sad too. ohWELLS. as i've said before, CHEER UP PEOPLES!!! oh and i'm feeling damn smart now cos i solved trigo qn 7h. wooohoo =D

first house meeting + second match!

yayyy.

ok lah i dunno how to begin so i'll go straight to the point (there!! --> .) today there was the first moor-tarbet house meeting! went to lt5 with wenjie. then we turned our heads and saw...*GASP* (name removed due to manymany advices given). hahaha that made my day =)) house meetings are gonna be so much better hohohohoooo *evil grin*

lessons were pretty good! lit was, surprisingly, quite interesting. perhaps it's because we finally get a frost poem that we can actually get the gist out of. hahaha. and i dozed off in rolly's lecture as usual.. ohwells. but i still paid my fullest attention!!! gp was fun. haha slacked ard in the library. now i still have the application + summary question to do. ohnoessss.

o yeah during break eddy was retelling me how hazmi kept on suanning him a week before when his hair mystically disappeared. every sentence hazmi said had a "cut" in it, to suan eddy. hahaha. it was damn funny. like "where's my ez-link cut?" n stuff. so i was like. dammit eddy my hair's damn short too, but nevermind hair grows. then eddy, being the lame eddy he was, pointed at my hair and said "yeah, your hair, gross". -________-" haha but i have to admit it was pretty good.

and hist essay was extended to tuesday! noooooooooo. i stayed up late last night to finish it. ><. ohwells. at least my weekend will be relatively free. looking forward to the ALLGUYSNOGALS shopping trip on saturday. hehehe =) and mrs. chia can't remember dates at all! you know, those sweet fruits. haha ok bad joke. so she told us that today was phototaking! and we all rushed to the GO during our break only to find that there was no photographer!!! ouchhh. waited around and asked around then finally decided to eat in the canteen. grrrr. and she still calls herself a historian ><

and mavis looks damn nice in her ez-link pass!! seriously!! abel too! he closely resembles a person from singapore idol! hehehehhhh.

ok i just realised i'm jumping from topic to topic with no connectivity. grr. mrs chia said that was a flaw in my hist essay for international history. i guess it's damn TRUE. haha.

yup so today was the second rugby match of the season! we won like 84-0 with 20 minutes remaining again, versus srjc. basically the forwards played damn well (perhaps because the whole of srjc was like, my size. --;;. some were a little bigger), but the backs' handling can be slightly improved though. haha. ohwells we have 3 weeks to iron out these mistakes before the semis and then the finals. =)

mistakes...

everybody makes mistakes. even the great me does. hahaha.

1) queuing up for food with eddy
it was break. we were starving (ok at least, i was =D). so i went to the stall beside the drinks stall (i call it stall 2 because it's the second stall from the left, but it says stall 3 for some reason which i cannot comprehend) and queued up! i was joined shortly after by sean, jon, and EDDY! so eddy was obviously damnbloodybored with queuing up at the stall which was damnbloodyslow but damnbloodygood, and started pelting us with lame jokes. omg. i almost died. here's a few excerpts of his lameness *bows down to eddy*

and many others, which are in chinese. haha. even JT (who was in front of me in the queue) was dying. hahaha. so ya it was a bad mistake to queue up with eddy.

2) staying too late in school
so after gym, i sat around in school. crapped around with people, sat around in the canteen NOT doing any constructive work. hahaha. the usual stuff la. so i was gonna cut hair and needed to go town, so i (after stoning like 1 1/2 hours in the canteen) strolled down to j8. boom headshot. suddenly everything rushed at me, that i was broke and needed to draw money, and that the train was arriving ETC ETC. so i was damn rushed la. and then i missed one train, and had to wait damnbloodylong for the other one. so i reached the salon, sadly, quite late, and hence my mom couldn't give me a lift, which resulted in me having to take the bus home. boooo. haha. it was damnbloodycrowded loh. siannn.

3) going out of the norm
ya so i reached the salon pretty late. but wateva. i was gonna finally get the irritating long fringe out of my eyes (okay i'm exaggerating, but it annoys me whenever it enters my eye ><)! so when it was finally my turn to cut (there were quite a few people there, so i had to wait), i told her "shorten it." instead of the usual "trim it.". boom headshot. now my hair, although is less irritating, is damn short and i think looks worse than the usual one. hahahah. ohWELLS. new day new discovery. note to self: always say "trim it" next time.

yup so dats it. and i hate orcs who have no balls and expo and win even though i outmicro them. hahahaha. ok cya ppl!

wheeeee. i'm in quite a good mood lately. in contrast to like almost everyone though. >< cheer up peoples!!! =)

anyway this blog is more or less MINE now (i think). mwahahha. ok la that's because daniel lam and guanghao are being INactive for no reason!!! booo. haha.

anyway. today ate at cartel with jon tim sean shiyun shib! gosu pork ribs. mmmmmmm. i think jon (aka pig1) was jealous of my pork ribs. mwahahaha. sean had nice waffles. dammit i miss waffletown why did it have to close down in bkt timah shopping centre ><. anyway. ya we were joined later by zhihui and rushan and had a gossip session!!!

anyway. this council tekan camp is full of shit la. next year don't repeat it ok? i shan't elaborate (like i did previously) due to fears of getting people into trouble =D

i'm still happy. today was full of lame jokes la. like exceptionally full. 1a01e is getting worse and worse everyday. hahaha. i probably laughed more today than i did last week..haha.oh and after lunch we went to queensway to get shoes for tim + jon! haha jon saw these very very very nice sneakers but couldn't buy them because he could only buy SPORTS SHOES! hahaha. it's ok jon. then tim found these nice adidas sneakers. and i found my belt finally (after ALL the complaints from zan/shiyun/shib). haha.

recent happenings!

thursday:
played match vs nyjc (nanyang junior college for all you stupid people out there =D). we won 83-0 with 20 minutes remaining. seriously i feel these games are just kinda stupid. first there's a risk of injuring people, and second it's demoralising, and third both teams don't get anything out of it. ohwells. that's the way it is. haha. don't rmb anything worth remembering throughout that day other than my memorable self-jack, where i tried to jump through the window into the class and ended up landing on my hamstring (my lucky balls phew =D. i'm gonna call them lucknuts or smth).

friday:
haha yesterday was full of shit. haha. i laughed my balls, or rather, lucknuts off during gp presentations. hahahaha. it was juz damn funny la, and it's kinda hard to type it out here. haha. yeah but before that was the disgusting booby trap. like OHMYGAWD. it's BURSTING out. uggghhhh. even the girls in our class were disgusted. yucksss. haha.

i shan't name the booby trap here. too evil. haha. then after that i had PE! which was floorball fun! hehe. ya basically we won (what's new? haha =D) 6-5. damn fun la. eddy scored a FLUKE goal. and my passes kept on getting intercepted, but that's not the point. after that went to the gym and i CRUSHED MY PINKIE!!! ouchhh. i was putting the dumbbells back when it SLIPPED and landed on my PINKIEE!!! owwww. please pray for my pinkie, thanks. i guess it's karma, lucky one day and unlucky the other. hahaha. went for tuition later with lam after stoning alot around in the canteen. denise was doing work. like wtf making me feel guilty arhhh???? haha

saturday:
training today. i fucked the other pinkie up. hahaha. now both left and right pinkies are hurtingggg. =(( oh well. haha but training was quite fun. i dunno why it felt so fun today. haha. then we had nominations for exco positions in rugby!!! haha i shan't say who i voted in for quartermaster, also known as the guy who does all the dirty work by bringing pads/balls to training every training, here! after training went to J8 and had some gosulating chocolate milk tea with double pearl!!! wowww that made my day. haha.

council!

yay so council elections are over. congratulations to guanghao, ilman, just, navjote, senthil and shiyun (and whoever i've forgotten =D) for making it into council! haha. and for all those who don't make it, don't give up!! you'll get your chance to serve the school in one way or another, hehe (that's if you can find a tennis racquet big enough to hit the whole school..hAHA bad joke i know -_-"")

ok, so now i'm known as pig2. it's something me and jon came up with because we spent like 1 hr on msn discussing FOOD. wahhh we're sooo gonna rape the food after school and during supper man. haha. soon we'll have supper outings and all (i think), soudns fun! hehe. he's pig1. eddy is pig3 because he snorts. and because lam has the biggest appetite, i guess he'll be pigking? haha. and i just heard of wendy's evil schemes. like omg they're SUPER evil. it'll be funny when it goes into action. haha.

season!

hoho so the season's starting on thursday! hehe we've got our first match!! against.. i dunno who!!! haha.

ok backtrack. saturday was 7s first day. hehe. went lanning with the j2s after training in the morning and then went to national stadium at ard 4+. ya. watched nice matches of rugby, chatted ard abit! the atmosphere was good la =). and this year heineken was the beer supplier, and not forsters for some reason. but i like heineken more. it's GOOOoDDD. but this year didn't drink beer, because vince wasn't there! hahaha. and i couldn't sneak in to the vip stands. those bloody guards are DAMN vigilant, much more than last year. =/. and i realised lots of ppl went for the 7s!! like there's a whole contingent from rj and a whole contingent from ac. haha. quite cool la. then 7s ended with the BIG MATCH - australia vs newzealand! newzealand won la. australia wasn't really good this year. ohwells! go aussies!!! yala so after it ended, i decided to be smart and take 14 back home. turned out to be a wrong decision because i WENT THE WRONG WAY!!! ended up at katong shopping centre where asteroids is located and i was like "OH NOES I'M DEAD". so i cabbed home. haha. ouch i spent like 30 bucks that day.

so sunday i went there determined to cut down on my expenditure!! haha. gotta save up =) ya went to PS at ard 1140 lidat. saw lam on the way there and we met zeng in PS! hehe. then we walked around to look for food and saw wenjie and... he wasn't alone. ahaha. went up to the foodcourt to makan, and then we went for 7s. missed the first rj match, but i believe they won 17-5. then at 2.30 lidat ri played vs saints. they played badly la, and lost 14-7(?) if i'm not wrong. aiya 2 tries to 1 la. then rj played vs ac at 4+, and lost 2 tries - 0 because of nerves at the start i think. both teams were equally matched imo la. ohwells. sometimes you win sometimes you lose. ahaha. then i TRIED to sneak into the vip stand again. ohwell. that guy was still damn alert. and this year they're smarter, they force you to get a TAG on your wrist. so it's like. you might have the VIP card on your neck, but you don't have the TAG on your wrist, and you're not allowed in!! gg or?? >< and i didn't screw up the buses on sunday (PHEWWW). went home at ard 7+. wenloong told me i missed good matches, so i told him that he missed good manu goals! they won 4-1. hehe.

yup so today tonnes of shit happened la. i think i'm pmsing? no idea. i got damn irritated today. must be all the shit that's happening la. damn fucked up. anyway after school after gym we helped ilman/just/ryan/senthil to clear the "ilman just raising the bar ryan senthil" off the wall! haha it was damn funny. i bought food to eat while laughing at them at first, then later being the helpful me i helped out too! hahaha. basically we're ingenious ppl and managed to get all the blue, i mean green-tack off the wall. haha. oh and ryan lost his wallet. like how fucked up is that la. if someone sees a black billabong wallet that has an ic that says tan yong ding ryan on it pls contact any of the ruggers, thanks.

and yeah the season is starting on thursday. first 28 is gonna be announced tomorrow during training. hope i make it. aha. from tmr onwards it's gonna be eat drink sleep think rugby all the way man. ahaha. even sex will be with a rugby ball. =D.

anyway, today's training was utterly crap. not that i played like crap, but the team that blackburn chose didn't perform. so it was crap la! like the defense turned the ball over a few times, and i even got a pass out to just with only steven and some other guy clearing out. there was just a lack of hunger for the ball lah. >< yarr it was that bad. haha. but ohwells, lets learn from this bad training and we'll move on. season is starting soon. i can't wait =)

anyway, tomorrow will be press play!! i haven't gotten my tickets yet =(( i originally planned to buy the tickets from joel leong but he didn't have any on him!! gg!! o well i gotta buy tomorrow. chiong arrr. go mee =D. clement will be joining too, so it'll be fun. hehehe.

and on sat and sunday there will be 7s!!! woohooo 7s will be fun man. can't wait (especially to watch singapore play newzealand and australia, who are both in singapore's group ^^). heheh.

first match!

yay. today was a pretty fun day =)

so basically mondays are my slack days. MWAHAHAHAHAHA. ok so you guys (those non-arts people) can laugh at me on fridays because they're my longest days -____-"". so first was history lecture, and i had a sudden realization -- i did not bring my file. ohnoes (www.ohnoes.org)! so anyway, next period was pe, and i ponned it because i had a match laterrr. =D and it's very telling when i'm not playing floorball and the team is winning, whereas last week i was playing and we never won.. or only won one.. HMm. haha.

so i did a zan by not bringing my file, and i did another zan during break. hoho. i bought food from the malay stall (and forgot to buy another plate for jon..i'm sorry!!), and after finishing like 3/4 the plate, it dawned on me -- i was using 2 spoons. gg?? haha. and i also realised that my kind mum was waiting for me with my file at the pick-up area. i had totally forgotten!! i'm soooooooooooooooo sorryyy mummy!! =(

the rest of the day was pretty boring la. without eddy around, the class was quieter. for the first time in these 4 months, i actually enjoyed the lit tutorial. perhaps lai isn't as bad as i thought. or perhaps it's just me. hahaha.

so on to the match! yupyup before the match there was a thunderstorm, so i was praying fervently that it'd be short so that the ball won't be wet so that the ball won't be so slippery so that i can pass better (lots of "so" in this sentence huh ^^). yup it wasn't really slippery. i played like 15-20mins or so (out of 50 mins ><) and i guess i did pretty well. tackling was quite good and passing was quite fast and i didn't really screw up. haha. kinda pleased with my performance. heheee. but we lost 19-5. owell. they're big, no doubt, but i think we could have won. haha. and the function held after the game was pretty cool. i camped at the almond jelly and had like 6 bowls of it! haha greedy me =D okok that wraps up the whole of today. rugby season's starting soon so i'm getting really excited! time to go bathe (i just reached home ><).. haha. ok see ya'll people, and don't forget to vote for just, ilman, senthil, and ryan! i just did a..

..zan. like seriously. first don messaged me that training was at 4. so at 3.40 lidat i left the canteen and walked to ri. then at ri i saw some softball teams warming up, and i thought "hmm maybe they're playing their match after our training that's why training's at 4". then at 3.50 i received the call of gg from ben: "HALLO roland? training is at rj! (laughter in the background)"

so training was at the rj field, and i have to say that it was the most full of shit training (literally) that i've ever had. the field smelt worse than.. hmm. shit. ok la not that i really go to smell shit but it just smelt damn bad. like just's farts. hahaha. and the rj track + field was sooooo cramped up. lets see. soccer on 1 half of the field, rugby on the other half, canoe running around the track, trackers running around the track, crosscountry running around the track. wowowow. so that was a very happening place. haha.

ok la i shall stop here (very unlike my super duper long entries righttT? =D). so yes, i did a zan. thanks zan! :D i'm terribly proud of myself now. and i love you eddy <3 <3 <3

hello!

it's been a long time since i (or rather, we) last blogged! so i shall TRYMYBEST to blog more often so that this blog doesn't stagnate. hehe.

okok so a week has passed since i first got to see the new people in the class, and i'm glad to say that they're a FUNandHAPPY bunch! yesyes this is the 1a01e spirit!! on the first day i've already shown the guys the class spirit of PONNING lessons!! (ok la we seriously didn't know where to go for pe. haha.)

ok so an individual breakdown of the new people in the class..i'll start with the guys.

Eddy:
wah this faggot is damn powderful in terms of lame jokes. seriously. he'll kill you immediately. haha on the first day of school he already had the lame club sign drawn on his arm. like PRO right??? ya and he likes playing rugby so we have smth in common. and the coolest part is that his surname is.. *DRUMROLL* HIRONO!! wah cool half jap man. haha.

Sean:
my fellow warcrafter!! gg!! damn bloody newbish but nvm :D:D

Timothy:
this fella speaks alot!! sometimes too much!! haha jk. he got kicked out (oops i shouldn't say that :D) of humans and joined us in arts! haha cooooool. also overflowing with lameness lah this guy. haha.

Jon:
this guy wages an ongoing war vs elaine (to be covered later)!! it's really funny watching these 2 fight. haha. he has supposedly collected like 10 bimbo points which means he's... *GASP* a bimbo!! wahaha duh?? :D

so time for the gals..

Elaine:
elaine's my ally so i shall say that she's damn tall and damn smart. hahaha. she came from teckie's class and she always buys sweets so naturally i'm her ally :D and she's actually quite short la. but short is gd. cos i'm short too! mwahaha. ya she's the one in the class who has the "SUAN ME PLEASE" on her face and she keeps on getting suanned by all the guys (except me~!!! i'm her ally!!) haha. poor thing.

Wei:
mm i'm not sure if i got her name right. but nvm. haha. wei is damn tall. like seriously. i think she's 170? that's taller than me and so she is one of the tallest people in the world!! haha. she's always hogged up by mavis so i dunno much abt her. she's quite reserved imo la.. but that's what i tHINk. anyway hopefully she'll open up more (if she isn't already) and get to know the rest of the class better!! :)

Charis:
chairs!! haha. well she's a damn bloody LANGUAGESperson. like seriously. she's taking higherchinese in jc, when people are wanting to drop a/ochinese. like omgomgomg. that's ji pro!! haha. and the worst thing is... she sounds damn english!! not cheena at all!! she's having a war with jon i think. sometimes. and sometimes i'm the target too. =(( what have i doneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.. anyway i really pity her on mondays, because she ends at 6pm with... nobreaksinbetween!! that'll kill me. seriously.

Ying Xiang:
haven't gotten to know her well, but from our limited time of interaction she's damn polite!! which is good! haha. owell i'll try to know her better.

Wei Qi:
shit i just realised i dunno her at all!! mm i shall know her better!!

Rushan and Zhi Hui:
well i added them together because..
1. they're inseperable! like seriously.
2. separating them would make me look like a bastard because i dunno anything about them. :D
anyway. rushan and zhi hui are always together, and quite constantly giggling and stuff that icannotcomprehend. but nvm. haha. ya i thought they were quite antisocial at first but they're not lah. will get to know them better!!

sooo that wraps up the new people in my class. hopefully i didn't miss anyone. ahha. anyway. the golden ratio in 1a01e is still around the same!! 1 guy to around 2 gals. haha. in fact it's 7 guys : 15 gals. hurhur.

anyway. there's cybergaming trials for wcg tomorrow!! time to train!! rawrr. haha. cya people, have fun!
